Missing teeth can not only cause you embarrassment about your smile, but also adversely affect your oral health. Once teeth have been lost from the bone, the bone sees no purpose in being there, and so recedes rapidly, which can cause surrounding teeth to loosen.
At The Centre for Dentistry in Haddon Heights, Dr. Stephen Markus and our restorative dentistry experts can place and restore dental implants to fill in your smile gaps. We’ve been restoring dental implants for nearly thirty years! We also work with a number of qualified specialists if we feel you would be better served working with another dental implant expert.
Our office has been involved in supervising the correct placement of dental implants and rehabilitating mouths with them since 1987. All of our general dentists have completed the Branemarck Mini-Residency. Typically after a tooth comes out, we will wait two or more months for the bone in the socket to mature, and then the implant[s] can be placed.. Most patients need to wait at least 2 -6 more months, depending on the quality of the bone before we will place the crown on the implant. In the interim, we will make a temporary tooth for you to wear, if you desire. Dr. Markus has been published several times on implant-related topics.
