Comfortable Treatment at the Centre For Dentistry
Dr. Markus and his team at the Centre for Dentistry want you to feel comfortable as they perform your dental procedures. We offer a variety of methods to help you relax when you come for your dental treatment. We understand that some people are nervous when they visit their dentist and we want you to know that there is no need to be nervous with the experienced staff at the Centre For Dentistry. Dr. Markus and team use techniques that allow you to feel relaxed and stress free. From properly using nitrous oxide to playing your favorite CD, we will make your visit to our offices a comfortable one.
 

Nitrous Oxide, (laughing gas)  when used properly, raises one's threshold to pain, while providing a hypnotic effect which can make the dental visit one where you feel as if you've dropped your teeth off to be worked on, and will pick them up later.

We also offer the option of premedication before dental treatment with tranquilizers like Valium. When used in conjunction with low levels of nitrous oxide sedation, you will doze through the entire procedure, without the risks involved in intravenous medication.

When used along with our Bose QuietComfort® 2 Acoustic Noise Cancelling® headphones with your favorite music turned up loud enough to block out the sound of the drill, it produces the desired effect of separating your treatment from your person.  We have well over 300 CD's in the office at any one time, or feel free to bring you own.

Many patients cannot even tolerate the sensations felt during a dental cleaning. We will be happy to demonstrate how well our technique works for you at a cleaning visit.
