Freedom Of Choice

We do not want to see our patients, or any patients for that matter, lose their right to choose their own dentist. Many employers are opting for low cost dental plans that deny the patients any choice. They must see dentists they are unfamiliar with because they participate in the plan. This is called "managed care." We prefer to call it "mangled care." What it is, is "managed costs."

Patients are forced to see dentists who have agreed to accept lower fees in exchange for their services. In many instances non-dentists, with no dental office experience or credentials, dictate treatment.

In a traditional situation, patients select their dentist based on reputation, ability, and convenience. Mangled care programs deny patients any choice.
